Project Description

Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church was built in 1952 and was located at 3524 Joseph Campau near the corner of Hale Street, on the lower eastside of Detroit. Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church was originally a home, but was later converted into a church. Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church was a small, one-story church that had a red-brick and white-concrete exterior. Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church had a rectangular floor plan that consisted of the sanctuary and an office. Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church was a small congregation that couldn’t keep a steady membership.

In 2010, Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church was closed for good as the congregation had to file for bankruptcy. Shortly after the church closed, Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church was looted by scrappers and trashed by vandals.

As of 2015, Little Rock Primitive Baptist Church is still abandoned and is in terrible condition. There are no current plans for the abandoned church.
